Today on Testimony on Thursday, Daenne will be sharing how she experienced the Lord guiding her every step.
"About a week ago, I was praying mostly prayers of repentance and I was asking God to fill me with his spirit. I was asking him to show me that he is with me. I read in the Bible all the time that God directs our steps. Sometimes it is very specific that he guides the steps of the faithful ones. I started asking myself, am I a faithful servant? Please forgive my unfaithfulness. It went like that for a few days.
On Sunday, I watched a video of french toast. Random, I know. It was slightly different. I had all the ingredients except eggs, so I got eggs. I don't like sweets, I have never had french toast before, but for some reason I wanted to make that specific one.
On Monday morning, I made it. It came out sooooo good. Mind you I don't like sweets, but I loved it. I thought about two friends of mine that love sweets that live nearby, so I decided that I would drop off a tiny piece to them. I was like this is supposed to be breakfast, I can't leave it until after work, so I used my break to go to them. As I was driving, I said to myself, this friend's house is first, it makes more sense to go to her house first. So, I did.
As I was reaching her door, this young lady called me. She said, "can I please speak to you before you leave, I want to ask you a few questions about your church"? Oh, I forgot to mention, I was wearing one of the shirts from church that I usually serve with. After I spoke to my friend, I went to speak to the young lady. She was like "it's crazy that you came here today". I was like what do you mean?
She said: " I looked up churches near me online and I found your church, since then I have been watching the sermons online. I said to myself that I would visit when everything opens back up. I have been spiritual, but I never really committed my life to God. I have been asking God for a sign for him to show me the way to go. I have been even journaling about it. Here see my journal. I just prayed this morning, then you showed up. I wasn't even supposed to be outside, but I came outside 5 minutes before you came."
I was in awe with God. I was in awe. For a brief second, I had no words. Then, I said praise God, he hears your prayers my dear. I shared with her that we have a Bible study that meets online in case she would be interested. She said yes so quickly because that is something she was looking for and God sent it right to a doorstep. We experienced our first Bible study together this week, and I know that the Lord will continue to do the work that only HE CAN DO in her life!
So, yes! I experienced God guiding my every step. It all started with the recipe I watched. Even the shirt I picked up in the morning was all part of God's perfect plan. He aligned my every step to lead me to a moment to meet that young lady to remind me that his spirit is guiding me and I am indeed forgiven. He also aligned my step to remind her that He is real and if you seek him he will show you the way.
Psalm 32 Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit. When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night, your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD"-- and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Therefore let everyone who is godly pray to you while you may be found; surely when the mighty waters rise, they will not reach him. You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you. Many are the woes of the wicked, but the LORD's unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in him. Rejoice in the LORD and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart!
I am pleading you friend that you would pray for this young lady's salvation. You don't need to know her name, God does. Just pray that she will continue to experience God's presence in her life. "

Yours in Christ,
Testimony Thursday
Praise God that He is faithful always. At time we don’t understand His directions to us, which can cause much frustration, we just have to trust that He is good good father who would never lead us astray. May this young fall in love wholeheartedly with Christ. Will keep her in my prayers.
